Requirement: Create a paperless shop floor solution to suit their specific manufacturing environment/processes.
We migrated the customer over to Cim50 and developed a paperless shop floor processing system for the customer.
Each workstation/workbench on the shop floor had a thin client pc or tablet installed, running our custom SFDC system designed specifically to suit their processing requirements.
The paperless system was fully integrated with Cim50, allowing production controllers to release jobs to each workstation, with operators processing jobs through the system directly from the workstations and having real time processing of that job through the Cim50 Manufacturing system.
Whilst the standard Cim50 SFDC module met the majority of their requirements, their specific processes/production requirements warranted development of the custom solution.
Deployed to 35+ workstations processing jobs through various stages of their production lifecycle, the custom SFDC system enabled them to scale up their operations, running 24 hours a day over 3 shifts, with seamless handover and continued processing throughout.
We have further developed the system to incorporate quality control processes, goods despatch functionality and to provide detailed enquiries and reporting on production efficiency, times, costs and quality.
The development of the custom SFDC system has enabled the customer to increase their production output by around 1700% since its inception, going from ~10,000 finished products output annually to over 180,000.
Requirement: Remove double data-entry between multiple company entities running on the same system.
This customer operates multiple companies within Sage 200 Professional, with one company being responsible for manufacturing the products sold via the other entities.
We developed a real-time integrated solution, linking the companies up together so that as a customer sales order is received and input into the sales company system, the integration would automatically generate an internal purchase order to the manufacturing company, then create an internal sales order from the sales company within the manufacturing dataset.
This acts as the demand that the manufacturing system can utilise to then produce the products and despatch them to the customer. In turn updating the original order on sales company dataset so that they can invoice the customer.
The integration incorporates Stock Items, Sales Orders and Purchase Orders within Sage 200, avoiding the need for any double-entry when it comes to processing orders between the company datasets.
The integration also extends to Sage CRM, integrating the Sales Ledger, Quotes, Orders and Stock Items between both systems, enabling remote sales users to have complete visibility of the customers account, along with enabling the marketing team to create targeted campaigns to their customer base.
