Cim200 provides additional features to the BOM Build processes, including builds for Base Items.

If any component shortages are found when attempting to record a build, Cim200 can offer the option to search for alternatives or superseding items, to resolve the shortages and allow the build to continue.
To use this feature, tick the option to Fulfil Component Shortages With Alternative Items in Cim200 Settings.
To setup alternatives for an item, add alternatives in Amend Stock Item Details > Alternatives.
Setup an item’s superseding item by setting its Superseded By in Amend Stock Item Details > Details.
When processing a build, if any components have a shortage, a message pops up to advise of this and to offer to look for alternatives. Click Yes to attempt to replace the short items with alternatives that do not have a shortage.
