Quick Text Selection

Where Comment type lines are used frequently on Sales Order documents, Quick Text comments can be setup in advance and then copied to the line description during line entry, to avoid repeatedly typing the same comments.

This option can be used to streamline entry of Sales Orders, Quotations, Proformas and Returns.

Using Quick Text

Open: From within the Order, Quotation, Proforma or Return click Add Items then select the Comment Line item type.

  • Click Quick Text to open the Quick Text Selection screen.
  • Quick Text entries already setup are listed in the Quick Text area.

Selecting Quick Text

  • To use an existing entry, select the text from the list and click Select.
  • The selected text is copied into the Item Description field but can be overwritten.

Adding and Selecting Quick Text

  • New entries can be created from within the screen, and then selected for use.
  • To add a new Quick Text entry, click Maintain Quick Text Library.

 

1. Click Add then start typing the required text.

2. If required, click Multiline to open a multiline text entry screen.

3. Click OK to save the new Quick Text entry.

4. To add the required Quick Text entry to the Comment line, select the entry and click Select.

  • The selected text is copied into the Item Description field but can be overwritten.
