Clear Planning Flags

When a Demand Schedule or MRP refresh is started, a flag is set in the database to prevent the refresh being run again at the same time. When the refresh is complete, the flag is cleared ready for the next refresh.

Refreshing the Demand Schedule and MRP are both large processes that require a lot of computing resource and can take several hours to complete.

If something happens during a refresh which prevents it completing, such as the machine hangs or loses network connection, or the user crashes it out, the flag is not cleared, and Sage believes the refresh is still running.

Use this screen to confirm that the Demand Schedule or MRP refresh is no longer running, to clear the flag and allow a new refresh to be started.

To reset Planning Flags

Open: Cim200 Works Orders > Utilities > System Setup > Clear Planning Flags

Note: Before clearing either planning flag ensure that the refresh is not currently being run by any user, or via a scheduled refresh.

  • If the Demand Schedule refresh flag is not set, the button to clear the flag displays but is not available to click. If the flag is set, click the Clear Demand Schedule Flag button to clear the flag.
  • If the MRP refresh flag is not set, the button to clear the flag displays but is not available to click. If the flag is set, click the Clear MRP Flag button to clear the flag.
