Goods In Transit

Where goods must be tracked in transit between warehouse locations, use the Transfer Stock or Stock Transfer (Rapid Entry) screens to record goods in transit.

When stock is transferred between locations that have a Warehouse Transfer Time setup, it is not moved to the destination location but instead into the Goods In Transit location.

Sage tracks the source and destination locations, and the expected arrival date, as well as the items and quantities that are in transit.

Once the goods have arrived, use the Goods In Transit Check In screen to book the arrivals into the destination location.

Before checking in goods in transit

Goods In Transit features will only apply to internal stock transfers between locations configured with transfer times.

Use Cim200 Settings | Stock Control to Configure Transfer Times between source and destination warehouses.

Select the Location to transfer from, then set a transfer time greater than zero for each destination where Goods In Transit will be used.

Any internal stock transfers between a source and destination warehouse combination that has a transfer time set will automatically be transferred instead to the Goods In Transit warehouse, awaiting check in.
