Use these settings to choose how to process and manage additional features from Cim200.

Open: Stock Control > Stock Records > Enter New Stock Item > Locations | Warehouses
Open: Stock Control > Stock Records > Amend Stock Item Details > Locations | Warehouses
Open: Stock Control > Stock Records > View Stock Item Details > Locations | Warehouses

Note: The View Stock Item Details option allows you to view the settings but not amend them.

Warehouse Hierarchy can be used to determine, for each manufacturing warehouse location, which other locations can be used to draw component stock.

Once configured, the hierarchy will be used by MRP to determine available component stock, or when allocating or issuing stock in Works Orders.

A Warehouse Hierarchy can be set independently for each Warehouse for each stock item record.

With Cim200 you can also determine the order in which warehouses are checked for stock, by assigning a priority number against each warehouse. To do this, select the Warehouse and click Edit, then set the Priority number.

Note: When a warehouse location is added to the item, Sage offers the option to also add the warehouse hierarchy setup for that location to the item’s warehouse hierarchy, if one exists.

Also, where the added warehouse is a source location in the hierarchy of any other warehouses already added for the item, their warehouse hierarchies will also be added for that item.

Configure Warehouse Hierarchy

Open: Stock Control > Stock Records > Enter New Stock Item > Locations | Warehouse Hierarchy
Open: Stock Control > Stock Records > Amend Stock Item > Locations | Warehouse Hierarchy

Cim200 allows warehouse hierarchies to be set for each item.

Warehouse hierarchies can be set on the Warehouse location and applied to multiple items at one time, or they can be configured for an item using this area.

Any hierarchies already setup are displayed here. The list displays each manufacturing, or Source warehouse, and all warehouses configured as a valid Component Warehouse.

Select Edit to add to the hierarchy for the item, or to edit the existing hierarchy. Every available Source and Component warehouse combination is listed, excluding component warehouses not set as a valid component source.

Tick each combination required to setup the item’s hierarchy. Click Save to save changes.

Edit Warehouse

Open: Stock Control > Stock Records > Enter New Stock Item > Locations | Edit Warehouse
Open: Stock Control > Stock Records > Amend Stock Item Details > Locations | Edit Warehouse
Open: Stock Control > Stock Records > Enter New Stock Item > Locations | Add Warehouse
Open: Stock Control > Stock Records > Amend Stock Item Details > Locations | Add Warehouse

Priority

If Warehouse Hierarchy is in use for Works Orders and MRP, each warehouse location can be configured with a Priority number to set an order of preference for sourcing component stock where a component item is stocked in multiple warehouse locations.

Set a priority number to indicate the level of priority assigned to the warehouse. Component stock for Works Orders will be sourced from the item’s valid warehouses in order of priority, with priority 1 being the highest and 9 the lowest.

If adding a new location, click Add then select the location to add and select the Priority number.

If amending an existing location, select the location then click Edit, select the Priority number.

Default Manufacturing Warehouse

When MRP gives recommendations to raise new Works Orders for built items, each recommendation is specific to a location. The Recommendation Location setting in Stock Item Details determines whether MRP will use the Demand/Completion Warehouse or instead use the item’s Default Warehouse for these recommendations.

Where the item is set to use the Default Warehouse, tick Default Manufacturing Warehouse for the warehouse that should be used by MRP for any make recommendations.
