Use this screen to record progress of a Works Order and/or record actual time worked on it.
Time worked can be recorded against any combination of Labour, Machine, Setup, Teardown, Tooling and Subcontract cost types.
The time recorded is not specific to an employee who performed the work, but can be specific to the resource, if Allow Operation Resource Selection is enabled in Works Order Settings.
To record actual labour times by Employee, use the Timesheets screen instead.
Note: If no actual times are recorded against an operation, its expected times and costs will be used as the actual operation times and costs when the Works Order is Closed.
Open: Works Orders > Works Order List.
- Select the works order you want to enter operation times for.
- Select the Enter Op. Costs button above the list view.
From the menu:
Open: Cim200 Works Orders > Processing > Operational Costs > Enter Operation Times/Costs
- Select the Works Order from the drop-down list.
1. The list of all operations on the order is displayed.
- If Allow Operation Resource Selection is enabled in Works Order Settings, a separate record is displayed for each resource setup against each operation, so that times can be recorded against the specific resource which did the work on the operation.
2. To record times or progress against an operation that is not on the list, use the Add From Operations Register button to add it from the list of operations on the Operations Register. Alternatively, use the Add New Operation button to add a completely new operation.
Note: Once the screen is saved, any new operations are added to the works order with the actual cost recorded, but not to the Bill of Materials.
3. To also record the progress of the work, enter the quantity of that operation completed during the time.
4. Enter the Labour, Machine, Setup, Tooling, Teardown and/or Subcontract cost times.
