Open: Cim200 Works Orders > Utilities > System Set Up > View Works Order Settings | General
Use these settings to choose how to process and manage Works Orders.
Note: The View Works Order Settings option allows you to view the settings but not amend them.
Select from the following settings:
Auto Generate Works Order Number
Enable Auto Generate Works Order Number for Sage to auto generate the order reference when the order is created.
- If not selected, the order reference must be entered manually as the Works Order is created.
- If it is selected, the auto generated order reference can be enhanced with further settings:
- Optionally, set a Reference Prefix to go before the auto generated number.
- Optionally, set a Reference Suffix to append after the auto generated number.
- Auto generated numbers use leading zeroes to retain the correct sort order. Use Reference Padding Length to set the number of digits to use for the auto generated number; for example, with a padding length 5 works order number 215 will be generated as 00215, 00216, 00217, etc.
- For illustration purposes, the Next Reference Number predicts the next auto generated reference based on the next number and settings for padding length, prefix and suffix.
Provision Traceable Numbers on Creation
For traceable built items, enable this option to assign traceable numbers to completed products as the order is created. If not enabled, traceable numbers will be assigned as completions are recorded.
Allow Not Effective BOM Records
When Version Control is enabled in Bill of Materials, each Bill of Materials may have multiple versions.
If the Allow Not Effective BOM Records option is not enabled, Works Orders can only be created using the Active BOM version. If the option is enabled, Works Orders can also be created using any other version, but will default to using the Active version.
