The Costing tab displays the current and historical costing details for the works order.
Orig. Estimated: This cost comes from the Bill of Material.
Last Estimated: This is updated when the Works Order is Costed.
Actual: This is the actual cost of each element of the Works Order. Material costs are derived from the Cost of the Items issued to the job. Labour, through to Subcontract, can be Actual, or Backflushed from the Bill of Material. Tooling Costs come from the Bill of Material and, Overheads are based on the percentage, as shown on the Main Details Screen of the Works Order.
Carbon Emissions: If the system is enabled to capture carbon emissions, an additional ‘KgCO2e’ row will be visible. This shows the calculated carbon emissions for the quantity costed at the time.
Date: The date the works order was last costed.
Rev: The revision of the product being made. The revision number is shown as ‘Expected’, when the order is initially raised, to show that the costs are the expected costs from the Bill of Material. Once the Works Order is costed, the revision number will populate, as per the Main Details tab.
Materials: The cost of Materials used on the Works Order at the time of costing.
Labour: The cost of Labour booked. If no labour has been booked, the system will use the labour cost as shown on the Bill of Material, if any.
Machine: The cost of Machine time booked. If no Machine time has been booked against an operation, the cost from the Bill of Material will be used, if any.
Subcontract: The cost of Subcontract Purchase Orders raised and received against the Works Order.
Tooling: Tooling costs from the Bill of Material will be amortised across the build quantity.
Overheads: The % to be used on the Works Order is shown on the Main Details tab and will show as a cost here.
Unit Cost: The cost to make a quantity of 1 unit.

You can view a cost breakdown for any costing session in the historical grid. To do this, either double click on the relevant costing session, or highlight it, and press the View Cost Breakdown button.
