We are excited to announce that CIM Services have entered into an agreement with Sage that will result in our Cim50 manufacturing solution being the recommended manufacturing software package for Sage 50cloud Accounts.
As a result of this agreement, Sage has announced that they will be moving Sage 50 Manufacturing into an end of life process starting from 1st October 2020, with all support and services from Sage ending on 30th September 2021.
We have put together a few answers to some expected questions below.

1. Will my Sage 50 Manufacturing Software continue to work beyond 30th September 2021?
Yes, it will continue to work as it does currently beyond 30th September 2021. However, Sage will stop testing and supporting the integration between Sage 50 Manufacturing and Sage 50 Accounts from the next release (v27).
As such, neither we nor Sage can guarantee that your Sage 50 Manufacturing software will continue to work should you decide to upgrade your Sage 50cloud Accounts package beyond the forthcoming v27 release. Therefore, we would recommend upgrading to the latest release of Cim50 prior to 30th September 2021.
2. Will support be available after 30th September 2021?
Yes, but with certain caveats.
CIM Services will continue to support you with your Sage 50 Manufacturing for as long as needed. Sage will no longer offer 2nd line support on the product from this date. As such, there may be circumstances that arise from Windows upgrades/updates or from Sage upgrades that result in an issue occurring in the software that we may be unable to rectify.
3. Can I still purchase additional users for Sage 50 Manufacturing?
You will be able to purchase additional users up until 1st December 2020. Beyond this date, Sage will no longer accept any orders for this product.
4. Why should I upgrade to Cim50?
As you know, Sage 50 Manufacturing has had very little development work carried out in the last decade and is running on obsolete technology, which is no longer supported by Microsoft. Cim50 does everything that your current Sage 50 Manufacturing does, but improves on it, and includes over 100 additional features spread across each area of the software.
Cim50 is continually being developed with new features added all the time.
Moreover, we have a migration tool available, allowing us to seamlessly move your data from Sage 50 Manufacturing to Cim50 with as little downtime as possible.
Our forthcoming release (v2021) will include carbon footprint calculations, allowing you to calculate the carbon footprint of your manufactured items, along with offering your customers the option of offsetting the carbon footprint of the items they purchase from you in local carbon offset projects in the UK and Europe.

5. How much does Cim50 cost?
Cim50 is available on a monthly subscription basis, with the subscription cost varying depending on the modules and number of users you require. Please contact us and we can provide you with accurate figures.
